Next Stops For Our XBL Division

With Summer coming to an end, people are already winding down and wondering what gaming fun awaits on the console front. For us Nipply folks, we're focusing more on our roots, looking at casual gaming, social games, and communication as our focus. We've had a few Nips-in-training move on. NoF is not for everyone, mainly because most people just don't get what we're really about.

Going into 2009, we're going to be a lot more selective. If you're gossipy, self-centered, overly-sensitive, obsessed with competitive gaming, or into clan-hopping, save us and yourself some time.. Look at another clan. Our console-side recruiting is not as selective as we are on other fronts but we still would like to just focus on people that can have a good time and let others do the same.

That being said, I'd like to answer everyone who is asking this silly question: Is NoF dead? No. Just cause a few people leave doesn't mean a clan died. People get bored, people move on. That's life. I hope that clears it up for everyone.

In NoF, we're not worried about those that leave. We're more concerned with those that STAY. You guys and gals get it.. And you move on to learn more about what we're really all about.

Back to XBL, we're looking at Left 4 Dead, Fable II, Gears of War 2, and other games as future stops. CoD4, RSV2, GTA4, and BF:BC are still big hits on our radar so, if you're on these games, let us know. Talk to me and KiNgDeeMNoF about our XBox LIVE Arcade excursions as well! =oD

I took the liberty of starting up the first NoF league of 2008 (or at least i think its the first) anyway NFL.com then goto fantasy

join up i set the date at july 12 so thats 10 days hopefully we fill it by then or we will just have to remake it with a later draft time.

Our official NoF core web site is back online. Those of you that log on every day noticed that the site went down for a little bit. It turns out that our ten-year lease had expired (whoops, my bad). Yes, it's been THAT long - CRAZY, EH?? We're back now, thanks to those of you that have helped fund our efforts. We'll be starting up new opt-in funds that we can use to give out prizes, set up major events, and the like.. This will likely be in the form of MoneyBookers or PayPal. INDEED! 8)

For those who think the clan is breaking up, that's definitely not the case. We're just losing our bad apples and drama queen. It happens from time to time and instead of hearing things from the horses mouth people listen to that he said she said crap through the grapevine and jump the gun and leave the clan instead of resolving things. We haven’t forgotten our roots but some of our friends have lost their way.

NoF Leadership & Recruiting - Breaking the Mold

I just wanted to share a few valuable tidbits on NoF and how we are different from most clans (and, no, that's not to be elitist or anything but we do have a very unique culture in our group)...

NoF is not your typical clan. We're not just a gaming clan. We're more than even a multi-gaming clan.

Most clans exist purely for games and competition. We do tons of stuff beyond gaming and, thus, ranking officers are those that contribute the most to the clan, not necessarily the most skilled. Sure, we still enjoy clanwars, but we are not obsessed with MLG, CAL, or whatever.

Plugging in is ESSENTIAL. If you have the best skills in a game, that's nice but that is easily over-shadowed by a lack of cooperation and Nipply spirit. The folks that get the REAL rank in the clan are those that have a positive attitude and set a good example.

XBox LIVE & Beyond: Ladder Battles On The Way!

We're returning to GameBattles.com, in spite of the site bugs and issues thereof. Please mind your fellow Nips and have them come to our web site for the latest news. We need to coordinate so that we get everyone on our rosters, especially for CoD4 GB ladder, and then train.

If you have not done so already, please register to use our forums. Catch me on MSN Messenger - add yogizilla@hotmail.com - and we'll get everyone squared away with the appropriate access! 8)

Eventually, we'll get our own ladder system up. It'll be more polished than our previous efforts so it'll take time but, in the end, we won't have to deal with crappy sites like GameBattles.com - YAY!!! =oD

I also cannot stress enough: if you have access to a computer and, ideally, no one else uses it, please idle on IRC as much as possible. That's our main chat channel, folks!

Be sure to check out our forums and set up an account. Get in touch with your sponsor (the person that brought you into the clan) and make sure they get you set up with all the required groups. XBox LIVE Nips, for example, are part of our Strategem division while the officers of our XBL groups will be part of XBL Ops. Hope that makes sense.

Basically, make sure you check out the forums. There's a lot of information there so take your time. Once you are logged on, you'll see that the latest and most important stuff is at the top of each area.
